Hello!

My name is Paul Proctor, though you may know me by my pen name, PD Proctor. I am a devoted husband and a proud father to three beautiful daughters, as well as a grandfather to a rather handsome young grandson. My family is completed by two beloved fur babies: Queen Baillie Bear and the ever-spirited Grumplewolf Milo.

I’m the author of the beloved children’s book The Helpful Cloud ☁️, as well as the heartfelt poem Dear Bartley. I’m also excited to soon release my next children’s book, Grumplewolf, which promises to warm the hearts of readers young and old alike.

When I’m not creating new characters or weaving stories, you can often find me attending open mic and spoken word events across Yorkshire, where I share my work and connect with fellow creatives. Check out my events page for where I’ll be next! Outside of my writing, I love spending time exploring some of our favorite coastal destinations, like Whitby, Saltburn, Filey, and Flamborough. I can often be spotted strolling along the beaches, indulging in the simple joy of sharing fish and chips with my dogs, or simply soaking in the beauty of these charming spots.
